Dr. Lima was born and raised in Matanzas, Cuba. While growing up there, he found his calling to heal animals at a young age when his dog Rocky needed surgery for a broken tail and he assisted the veterinarian with the procedure. In 2003, at the age of 15, his veterinary dream had to be put on hold when he and his family migrated to the United States. After settling in Orlando with his parents and his little brother, Dr. Lima received a Bachelors in Biology from the University of Central Florida. Shortly afterwards, he was accepted into the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida where he earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in May of 2017 and his Certificate in Veterinary Business Management. Dr. Lima joined our practice after graduation and became the new owner in January of 2021.

Dr. Lima’s special interests include Dentistry, Radiology, Ultrasonography, and Internal Medicine. He strives to decrease stress for his patients on every visit and build deep relationships with his clients. He is very passionate about mentoring Pre-Vet students and building an organization that helps make a difference in the lives of others. Dr. Lima lives in Lake Nona with his wife Kaity and their dog Oso, a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow mix. Their favorite pastimes are traveling, going camping and hiking, and eventually visiting every National Park in the United States.
