Dr. Erica Castaneda was born and raised in West Palm Beach, FL and graduated in 2018 from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences. She attended the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with her DVM degree in May 2022 with high honors and with certificates in both veterinary business management and shelter medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Castaneda loves traveling and exploring new places with her dog, Snoopy, and her fiancé and high school sweetheart, Gabe. She also enjoys visiting Orlando’s theme parks, watching reality television shows, and cheering on UCF football.
Dr. Castaneda’s veterinary medicine interests include surgery, cardiology, canine physical rehabilitation, and integrative approaches to pain management. Giving back to the community is also important to her and she plans on continuing to be involved in rescue and non-profit efforts to provide medical care to as many animals as possible. She is excited to be a part of the Boggy Creek Animal Hospital team and feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to help both animals and the people that love them.
